About

Emma Lightowlers

As a British-Swiss contemporary artist and printmaker, I create work that traces a geographic journey from the mountains to the coast. Driven by a love for bold colour and dramatic contrast, I use a variety of techniques on canvas and paper to capture the astonishing complexity and beauty of the natural world. I am deeply drawn to mountain landscapes, highlighting the poignant tension between the enduring majesty of their peaks and their ecological fragility under the pressure of climate change. Ultimately, I hope the passion embedded in these pieces resonates with you, bringing you into closer conversation with the natural world.
